Teddybears

"They began as Skull, a grindcore group"
Swedish rock band in 1991

What is not to like...

Since then they have started experimenting more with electronica. As a result I really like their new sound. I confess that I have always had a place in my heart for shameless pop, and since they are not mainstream I do not mind blasting them with the windows down. I would categorize their music as electropop/dreampop. If you like The Dandy Warhols (The Monkey House - top 5 albums ever) or The Flaming Lips, you might like these guys. It is a really good mix of rock, pop, some reggae, and electronica.

Their latest album is Soft Machine, and I highly recommend you buy it and listen to it all the way through...all their songs are good but their songs Punkrocker (ft. Iggy Pop), Are You Feelin' It (ft. Elephant Man), and Cobrastyle (ft. Mad Cobra) are really good.

Other electronica-ish groups you might want to give a try:
Hot Chip - The Warning
Girl Talk - Unstoppable (this group is crazy, they take top 20 songs and mix them all together into this frenzied mix that sounds like 3 records are skipping, or like you are turning the dial on your radio really fast. I am not sure how much I like them, but I just assume I don't understand good music and it is the modern version of Free Jazz)
